John's new disc, Alive at O'Connor's, has just been released in January 2004. This long-awaited CD focuses on ten songs written by John. These songs were written for and about friends in Portland, Oregon, in his favorite live venue - O'Connor's. Stylistically, the songs range from roots rock and R&B to modern folk rock. The production on most songs is sparse - highlighting John's introspective and critically acclaimed writings, as well as his strong and unique vocals.
